Timbatec CEO Stefan Zöllig at Berne Wood Day 2017

What potential does the wood have and what gaps need to be closed? Experts will be looking into these questions at Bern Wood Day 2017, which will take place on 17 March in Münsingen.

On this year's Wood Day of BEO HOLZ, the entire Bernese wood industry will be invited to exchange ideas. Among other things, the association BEO HOLZ aims to promote wood as a building material and energy source and to improve the wood value chain. 

Speakers at the Wood Day 2017 will include representatives from forestry companies, the wood energy sector, and timber farmers. Stefan Zöllig, founder and managing director of Timbatec and member of the board of BEO HOLZ, will once again be present at this year's Wood Day at Schloss Münsingen. The "Aktion Wald und Holz Kanton Bern" is also in charge of the project. This campaign promotes the use of Swiss wood in the Canton of Bern. 

The campaign also aims to establish itself as a marketing organisation for all issues relating to wood and to pave the way for the topic in politics and administration. 

The Berne Wood Day has already taken place a few times. A novelty of this year's edition is that the event is not only supported by the wood chain of the Bernese Oberland, but by partners from all over the canton.
