The Timbatec engineers congratulate Johann Maître on his most innovative Bachelor's thesis at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering (BFH AHB). We would also like to congratulate Pascal Schönbächler, Sebastian Zwahlen and Stefan Vogt on their graduation as Bachelor of Science in Wood Technology at the BFH AHB. All four diploma students completed their internship at Timbatec engineers.
In mid-June, the first Forum Säntis Innovation Cluster Timber will be held in Wattwil, St. Gallen. One of the speakers at the forum is Stefan Zöllig, founder of Timbatec and TS3.
Flück Holzbau AG needed a new working platform for its new joinery line. The platform, 15 meters long and 7.5 meters wide, was recently laid and glued by Timbatec and TS3 in the company's workshop.
A report on TS3 technology was broadcast in the business magazine "P Portfolio" of the Biel local television station Telebielingue on the occasion of the opening of the endurance test bench. The TV magazine presents the method that is to revolutionize timber construction worldwide.
Yesterday evening, Timber Structures 3.0 AG attended the Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH inaugurated the new TS3 endurance test bench. About 100 people attended the inauguration. They experienced live how the TS3 experts glued timber components on the front side.
For the first time you can see the new technology of Timber Structures 3.0 one to one. The new TS3 endurance test bench is currently being set up at the Berne University of Applied Sciences in Biel. As part of the current CTI project, the possible applications of TS3 technology will be examined and shown. The inauguration of the test stand will take place on 16 May.
Timber construction is the trend. This is proven by several media reports that have recently focused attention on timber buildings in general and Timbatec projects in particular. The topic was the natural building material not only because of its sustainability. But also because timber can solve urgent problems of urban living, noise or lack of living space, for example.
The largest timber construction project in Switzerland, in whose planning Timbatec played a major role, is the theme of Austria's largest construction event on the 19th and 20th of April. On the first day of the important industry meeting in Vienna, Boris Brunner, one of the architects of "sue&til", will report on the development of the timber construction settlement.
Andermatt is growing. The first residents have been living in the two new apartment buildings Wolf and Edelweiss for a few weeks now. Timbatec was responsible for the statics of the roof construction during the construction of the buildings. And: For the timber façade of one residential building, the Timber Construction Engineers even carried out a special fire test.
Stefan Zöllig and Marcel Herzog from TS3 spent almost three weeks in North America. At several meetings and with the presentation at the MassTimber Conference in Portland they were able to present their new technology to an international audience of experts.
