2019, Matzingen

 The new factory yard in Matzingen is dominated by local wood. After a construction period of around one year, the building was completed and ceremoniously inaugurated at the end of September 2019.

 

Forestry yard 


2016, Buchs AG

 For over 75 years, the Forestry of Suhr-Buchs has been looking after and managing the forests of the communities of Suhr and Buchs. In 2016, the work yard was renovated and a new firewood store was built.

 

The Werkhof of the A16 motorway 


2017, Loveresse BE

 Highest precision was required at the Werkhof of the A16 motorway in Loveresse in the Bernese Jura. Due to the enormous mass of the 150 meter long hall, the timber construction elements had to fit exactly.

 

New Construction of Mosimann and Stromer Campus Halls 


2012, Oberwangen BE

 The two symmetrically arranged halls are located on Freiburgstrasse in Oberwangen. The cubes measuring 50x26x12 m dominate the landscape next to the motorway.

  • Extension Landi, Plaffeien

    The sales area of the Landi Plaffeien in the canton of Fribourg was doubled with the extension and conversion project to about 600 square metres. Timbatec planned the timber construction work for the 2.9 million Swiss franc project.

  • Renovation Haldenhof, Hallwil

    Two farmers took over the Hallwil "Haldenhof" farm. They would like to run the farm in an animal-friendly and ecological way and therefore planned a conversion in order to be able to supply the farm as independently as possible. A "Besenbeiz" (little café) is to supplement the range of services.

  • Commercial building Colombo AG, Aefligen

    In Aefligen, between Bern and Solothurn, a commercial building with various ancillary rooms was built. The building, with a volume of over 6,000 cubic metres, impresses with its load-bearing structure and wooden façade.

  • Haus zum Lindengarten, Zurich

    The Haus zum Lindengarten on the Hirschengraben in Zurich was built in 1725. The renovation was carried out in 2018-2019, but with the least possible interference with the existing building fabric.

  • Renovation SBB Service Facility, Biel

    SBB's service facility in Biel, which is around one hundred years old, is a listed building. Timbatec analyzed the condition of the roof structure made of timber and developed the renovation options in cooperation with the monument preservation authorities.


  • Renovation Restaurant Hirschenbad, Langenthal

    Where once the people of Langenthal took a bath in the tin tub, the Burch family now spoils you in the Hirschenbad restaurant.Timbatec was allowed to accompany the renovation project from the condition analysis to the construction management.

  • Industrial hall Estoppey, Châtel-St-Denis

    The municipality and Estoppey-Reber AG had the industrial hall in Châtel-St-Denis in the canton of Fribourg renovated. The roof was insulated and reinforced to withstand the heavy snow loads in the future.

  • Top-up Loepfe Brothers Ltd, Wetzikon

    The factory building of the internationally active Loepfe Brothers Ltd in Wetzikon ZH has reached the limits of its capacity. In the extension of the production hall 2800 square meters of modern office space were created, thus ensuring the company's space requirements.

  • Residential building sue&til, Winterthur

    sue&til: The currently largest wooden residential building in Switzerland contains 307 apartments, a mixed-use ground floor and 200 parking lots. The 6-storey building is a flagship project for timber construction in Switzerland.


  • Gfellerhof, Stettbach ZH

    At the Gfellerhof in Stettbach near Zurich a fodder store and a shed were each replaced by a larger structure. In addition, the existing barn was statically reinforced.

  • New building Simmental Arena, Zweisimmen

    The Simmental Arena, the new multifunctional hall in Zweisimmen, is largely made of Swiss wood. And it gets by without any supports inside. The roof is supported by ten 38-metre-long arch trusses.

  • Working Platform Flück Holzbau AG, Wangen

    With the TW-Agil 3000, Flück Holzbau AG has installed a joinery system unparalleled in Switzerland. The timber construction company Timbatec and TS3 commissioned the construction of a timber work platform for the processing of the cut timber elements.

  • Extension of Werkhof, Gurmels

    The municipality of Gurmels in the Freiburg lake district recently opened a new factory yard hall. The timber construction measures 28 by 21 meters and can be almost completely opened on one side - a challenge for Timbatec's timber construction engineers in terms of building stiffening.

    Polo Park Zurich has opted entirely for timber as a building material for its new center. Both the company building and the various stable buildings with horse stalls have been constructed as timber frame structures.


  • MFH Johnsonhaus, Köniz

    In the heart of the municipality of Köniz, a residential and commercial building on Neuhausplatz has been built in a sunny location close to the center.

  • House of Switzerland, Sotchi, Milano, Zürich, Davos, Rio, ...

    For "Presence Switzerland", the concept for a reusable platform with appropriate space (730 m²) was developed, which serves public diplomacy and promotes Switzerland's interests at major international events. Timbatec designed a robust, dismantleable timber construction system.

  • Bell Ltd. Increase, Basel

    At Bell AG on Elsässerstrasse in Basel, new offices and an auditorium were built on the 5th floor above the existing production area.

  • Mobilcity Competence Center Car, Wankdorf Bern

    The fact that ten associations in a sector are joining forces to set up a joint training center is extraordinary. This is exactly what the automobile associations did in Bern Wankdorf on Wölflistrasse. They constructed a new building as a training and further education center for the Swiss automotive industry. Timbatec was commissioned with the demanding planning of these halls.


  • Veterinary Hospital New Office Building, Zürich

    About 10 years ago, a three-year office temporary made of containers was erected on the premises of the Zurich Veterinary Hospital. After two extensions of the provisional solution, a third extension was refused to the operators. For this reason, the client decided to build a new building.

  • New roofing Creabeton, Lyss

    Creabeton Lyss manufactures a wide range of concrete semi-finished products, including various composite stones for horticultural applications.


  • Renovation Höchhus, Steffisburg

    This property in Steffisburg belongs to the Höchhus Foundation and is a listed building. Höchhus is one of the oldest buildings in the village.

  • New Werkhof Uetendorf Building, Uetendorf

    Within the scope of the renovation of the Werkhof Uetendorf, the need for additional rooms was determined. These rooms were planned in an additional two-story building.

  • New Building Forstwerkhof Burgergemeinde, Biel

    The Biel-based architectural office Bauzeit won the competition for the new forestry yard of the burger community after prequalification. It houses the required room layout in 2 buildings on the north side of the street.

  • Renovation of the 10th Barn, Grundbach area, Thun

    Renovation and redevelopment of the tenth barn, Grundbachareal. The tenth barn was one of the oldest preserved buildings in the city of Thun. After a fire in 1999, it had to be renovated in cooperation with the monument preservation department of the Canton of Berne.


  • MFH Supply Center Weier, Schwarzenegg

    The community of Oberlangenegg decided to build this project in timber at the beginning of 2000 - it was the time in which Lothar raged. With a supply center that was to be deliberately dominant and quickly recognizable, Schwarzenegg will have a village center that represents and enlivens the village image.

  • Conversion Bälliz 29, Thun

    The existing building in downtown Thun was converted into business premises and apartments. Three high reinforced concrete girders were installed on the first floor, which protruded about 70 cm into the structure gauge from above. The planned shop should be column-free with a smooth ceiling soffit. The existing beam layers should remain unchanged.

  • Warehouse Steiner AG, Walkringen BE

    The logyard of Steiner Sägewerk und Holzhandel is located in a depression between the railway line and the road. A superstructure and logistics concept for the future operation was to be developed over a width of approx. 60 m and a length of 400 m.
