It took a long time to convince people: more than 20 years ago, Stefan Zöllig demonstrated that wood is the right choice of construction material for wildlife bridges. Today, the wooden bridge over the A1 highway between Suhr and Hunzenschwil is impressive.

In Neuenkirch, the Federal Roads Office FEDRO is already building the second wildlife bridge with a wooden overpass after the Rynetel wildlife bridge. The wildlife overpass in the canton of Lucerne has a width of 50 meters and a length of around 36 meters.
The Tüfisteg pedestrian and bicycle bridge
2020, Adliswil
The Tüfisteg pedestrian and bicycle bridge in Adliswil is getting on in years. Analyses showed that replacing the bridge would cost almost as much as renovating it. Today, a new bridge leads over the Sihl - with beech wood from the surrounding forests.
Nursing home Wier
2023, Ebnat-Kappel
The new building of the Wier nursing home in Ebnat-Kappel is designed as a hybrid construction. All the wood used comes from the surrounding communities of Ebnat-Kappel. This required good coordination.
Apartment house Mooseggstrasse
2022, Langnau
In the Generationenhaus Mooseggstrasse, a lot of beetle wood and almost no glued cross-sections are used. The skeleton construction is part of the architectural expression.
NaturQuartier Weißache
2020, Kufstein
With the construction of the NaturQuartier in the fortress town of Kufstein, the largest wooden residential building in Tyrol to date has been realized.
Wehntalerstrasse 52
2021, Zürich
The replacement building at Wehntalerstrasse 52 in Zurich-Unterstrass is erected. With the use of clay panels, sheep's wool insulation, flexible walls and TS3 technology, the timber construction is highly interesting from an ecological and technical point of view.

In the village center of Gretzenbach in the canton of Solothurn, a wooden building is being constructed with twelve apartments and a village store. The balconies cantilever over 3.5 meters - without any disturbing supports. A sophisticated suspended construction makes it possible.
