In spring 1997, Stefan Zöllig founded Timbatec in Steffisburg as a sole proprietorship. 25 years after the foundation, we have grown to a leading timber engineering company with 60 employees at five locations in Thun, Bern, Zurich, Delémont and Vienna. Especially in the last three years, growth has been strong - the workforce has almost doubled.

We want to continue to grow and at the same time deliver the well-known Timbatec quality. This requires well-organized structures and processes: Lisa Paradis is now supporting us in the area of operational organization and organizational development. Lisa was able to gain experience in this area at Blumer-Lehmann and at Küng Holzbau AG. She is also a member of the board of the Swiss Timber Engineers Association and thus very well connected in the timber industry. We are pleased to have been able to win Lisa for Timbatec.

The Timbagroup

As a successful timber engineering company, Timbatec is the driving force behind the Timbagroup and promotes the use of wood as a raw material. We develop new technologies for modern timber construction and are available to architects as a service provider in the areas of fire protection, structural analysis and design or building physics of timber construction projects. In addition to Timbatec, four other companies belong to Timbagrouop. All of them pursue a common goal: "To increase the market share of timber construction in the building industry". Each company makes its contribution to this goal.

Timber Structures 3.0 AG

TS3 technology enables column-and-slab construction using wood in a way that was previously only possible with reinforced concrete. This opens up new markets for timber construction.

Timber Finance

Timber Finance AG promotes wood as a building material in the financial sector. It connects the world of construction with the world of finance, thus enabling sustainable investments.

Timbase

Timbase is soon to be founded and will design and build timber basements as a total contractor.

Scrimber

An innovative technology is being used to develop a new building product for timber construction. With it, almost the entire wood volume of a tree can be used.
