Construction site aperitif in the highest TS3 building

The first four-storey column-and-slab construction made of wood was built in Frenkendorf. Thanks to TS3 technology, the building once planned in concrete can be built in wood. We invite you to the construction site tour, TS3 show-pouring and aperitif on 08.07.2021.

Wood instead of concrete - very simple. This principle was confirmed during the planning and construction of the Fasanenhof apartment building in Frenkendorf. The four-storey building with 15 flats was initially planned in concrete, but then the client was convinced by Scherer Architekten AG of the advantages of timber construction and TS3. With success! Fasanenhof is the largest and highest TS3 project built to date.

The TS3 technology

The TS3 technology is the result of over ten years of research and development by Timbatec Holzbauingenieure Schweiz AG together with the ETH Zurich and the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel. The technologies are patent pending in the EU and the USA and have a basis in the newly founded Timber Structures 3.0 AG. The new process joins timber components together by joint grouting and without pressing pressure on the face. Together with the specially developed column head elements, TS3 makes it possible to create large wooden surfaces - without the joists that have been common up to now. These large surfaces are suitable for floor slabs in large buildings of all kinds and can replace reinforced concrete in most areas.

- Masks are compulsory on the entire site. 

- A distance of 1.5 m must be maintained. 

- Disinfectant will be available at the entrances
