For the past ten years, the «City of Wood» event series has been shedding light on the development of wood construction from various perspectives. To mark this anniversary, the event on November 11, 2026, will focus on the topic

Hybrid work models, new requirements for office space and locations, as well as economic and ecological criteria are transforming the planning and development of work environments. At the same time, timber construction has evolved in recent years from a pioneering solution to an established building method for sophisticated real estate projects.

Experts from the fields of architecture, project development, and the real estate industry will discuss how this transformation is playing out in practice. The program includes, among other things, a European showcase of current timber construction projects, a presentation by Herzog & de Meuron on the workplaces of the future, and insights from completed projects. The event will conclude with an investor panel featuring representatives from Zug Estates, Allreal, and Senn Development.
