The project
The timber construction company von Siebenthal Holzbau AG from Mauren TG has enlarged and modernized the production with the new building. The new production hall has a dimension of 30m x 100m and was built in timber construction. According to the fire protection standard, smoke and heat exhaust openings of about 30m² had to be installed in the roof level. In addition to the 30m² smoke and heat vents, the existing fire alarm system had to be extended to include the new building.

The construction method
The exterior walls were built in timber frame construction. The roof structure consists of trusses spanned by coupling purlins.

The challenge
In order to be able to do without a sprinkler system, the existing fire alarm system on the site was supplemented by the new production hall. In addition, smoke and heat vents had to be installed in the roof area, which had to function even in the event of a power failure.
