The Wiesental school in the canton of Zug is being adapted to today's needs with a replacement building. The new school building will one day accommodate 560 children. Timbatec is responsible for the statics and fire protection of the wooden building planned by the architectural firm Penzisbettini. The main building east is 96 meters long and 28 meters wide. The two basement floors made of reinforced concrete contain the technical equipment, a sports hall and the underground parking garage. Above this are three floors of wood for school operations. Above the triple gymnasium, a two-story truss spans as a support structure. This will be one of the largest timber trusses ever built in Switzerland.
