The construction
The foundations and the base slab of the basement are made of reinforced concrete. The exterior walls were built using timber frame construction, whereby the maximum payload of the helicopter (650 kg) had to be taken into account in the element size. The floor slab and the roof are made of Lignatur area elements. For some connections, the innovative GSA technology of neue Holzbau AG was used. Most of the interior cladding was made of oiled spruce. The exterior cladding consists of a transparent fiberboard.

The challenge
A particularly tough challenge was the extremely short construction time of only 4.5 months. And the exceptional static conditions such as the high snow loads (qk of 10 kN/m2) and the equally high wind pressure (qp0 of 3.3 kN/m2).
