New construction of Mosimann and Stromer Campus halls, Oberwangen BE

The two symmetrically arranged halls are located on Freiburgstrasse in Oberwangen. The cubes with the dimensions 50x26x12 m shape the image of the landscape next to the highway.
The project
The two halls, most of which are two-story buildings, are connected by a roof that is also used as a terrace. This creates a visual connection and allows the eye to perceive the industrial buildings as a whole. In one of the halls, bicycle pioneer Thomas Binggeli and his 80 employees produce the Stromer electric bicycle he developed himself. In the other hall, two independent companies work with wood.
The construction method
Mosimann Holzbau and Schreinerei Ringeisen, with their 40 employees, can use synergies in the new hall and thus make optimum use of the facilities.
Mosimann Holzbau from Köniz acted as the client. This has been owned by Hector Egger Holzbau AG in Langenthal since 2005. Hector Egger Holzbau AG realized the construction project as general contractor.
