Alszeile in Vienna is erected

Vienna is growing strongly. By 2023 the city is expected to have two million inhabitants. That needs new living space. Timbatec is committed to more timber construction projects like the Alszeile. In this sustainable project we were responsible for the statics, among other things.

The non-profit building and settlement community "Familienwohnbau" is building 52 new residential units in Vienna Hernals. The settlement is not only characterized by its first-class location on the edge of the Vienna Woods, it is also exemplary from a sustainability perspective. High-quality furnishings, innovative energy supply and a clear commitment to wood as a material are praiseworthy in this construction project.

Wood remains visible

The buildings are planned as pure wooden structures. Wood as a building element remains consciously visible in the interior and exterior. In addition to the economic and ecological advantages, this creates a pleasant living atmosphere and makes the basic building material visible.

Überblick Alszeile

The four-storey buildings were mostly built from prefabricated elements. This allows a fast construction method and saves time and money. Timbatec planned the static concept and thus laid the foundation for the successful timber construction.
