Timber construction is currently experiencing an enormous boom. Public and professional builders are increasingly turning to wood. There are good reasons for this, as Stefan Zöllig explains in an interview in the "NZZ am Sonntag". Buildings made of steel and concrete are responsible for gigantic CO₂ emissions with little performance. That's why Zöllig judges houses made of steel and concrete to be "worst practice." He is convinced that timber construction will prevail - more slowly than he would like, but much faster than many think.

The big "Who is Who" of the Swiss construction and real estate industry
Just a few years ago, timber construction was a niche market and timber engineers like Zöllig were given a platform at trade events and industry magazines to showcase the benefits of timber construction. Things are different today. Timber construction is mainstream and Zöllig joins the great "Who's Who" of the Swiss construction and real estate industry. In addition to Zöllig, Simon Kronenberg, CEO of Holcim, Stefan Heitmann, CEO of MoneyPark, Peter Spirig, CEO of V-ZUG, and Jann Felber, COO of Walde, are other heavyweights in the industry who discuss the topic in the "NZZ am Sonntag" publishing supplement.
